Ask "How does this initiative fit with the current priorities of key stakeholders?” or “What has been done (if anything) to prepare staff for their roles in this process?” or “On a scale of 1 to 5 (where 1 is “not ready at all” and 5 is “as ready as they need to be”) how would you describe the readiness of this group with respect to this process?"
If
you want to determine the readiness of a team to engage in a process,
prompt them regarding various aspects of the process with questions like
these.
